The past year at MASH (2023/2024)

Hear from women and MASH's team about what's been happening this past year. Welcome to our 2023/24 Impact Report

December 19, 2024

Each year we compile women’s experiences, stories and data from MASH’s team to compile our annual MASH Impact Report.

We invite you to take a look through our 2023/24 document which covers one of the busiest years we have ever experienced at MASH.

You’ll hear from women, understand more about the breadth of MASH’s services and how vital they are in times of increasing disparity.

MASH CEO Annie Emery, said; “In everything we do we aim to support women to experience better health, safety and wellbeing.

“Our activities, achievements and success stories on the pages that follow are an absolute testament to the collective community that is MASH, and our thanks go to the women we support, our staff, volunteers and trustees, our partners, funders and supporters.

“We continue in our mission until all women have choice, freedom and power.”

Once you get that trust, you’ve got a lifelong supporter. I’m forever grateful. (G, MASH service user)

We are MASH

For 30 years, MASH has stood by women who are sex working or thinking about it, offering non-judgemental support to improve health, safety and wellbeing.

We take MASH to women where they are at, offering support from our drop-in centre, our MASH van, in Manchester city centre, in saunas and via phone calls and home visits.

Women tell us that MASH helps them to feel safer, listened to, empowered and that in many cases it is a ‘lifeline’.
