Housing

MASH can support you to stay safe and well in your home or to find a new place.

At MASH we also have a couple of specialist projects which support women who are experiencing any form of homelessness and other big life challenges like ill health, fleeing violence or substance misuse.

We provide this support in a few different ways including via outreach into Manchester city centre.

Our outreach worker and volunteer speak to and offer support to any women who are visibly begging or rough sleeping. They can help with accommodation, medical support, appointments, debts and more. MASH will never judge you or set any criteria for support.

We are also part of the Greater Manchester Housing First pilot scheme, supporting women to access permanent housing and then tackling any other issues around mental health, finances, new skills etc.

We’ll always work with you where you are at in your life. You are not alone.

We are MASH

For 30 years, MASH has stood by women who are sex working or thinking about it, offering non-judgemental support to improve health, safety and wellbeing.

We take MASH to women where they are at, offering support from our drop-in centre, our MASH van, in Manchester city centre, in saunas and via phone calls and home visits.

Women tell us that MASH helps them to feel safer, listened to, empowered and that in many cases it is a ‘lifeline’.
