Hot Meals Provided for Women at MASH

Cooking can really help to boost the women at our Drop-in

March 15, 2024

We know how much food means to everyone. It can boost your mood if you are feeling low and give you some energy for the day ahead.

Some of the women who access our services may struggle to get a hot meal much of the time due to their personal circumstances.

That’s why at MASH, we love to try and give women some yummy hot food, often made with the kindness and support of our caring volunteers.

Last month, the lovely Maisy, made a stunning tomato pasta that the women couldn’t get enough of.

The salami was even cut into heart-shapes for the women.

As Maisy said: “It went down well. Most people had seconds!”

If you are a good cook, and want to help out at our Drop-in with some delicious food, apply below!

We are MASH

For 30 years, MASH has stood by women who are sex working or thinking about it, offering non-judgemental support to improve health, safety and wellbeing.

We take MASH to women where they are at, offering support from our drop-in centre, our MASH van, in Manchester city centre, in saunas and via phone calls and home visits.

Women tell us that MASH helps them to feel safer, listened to, empowered and that in many cases it is a ‘lifeline’.
