Tuesday 22 July Wear a Hat + Donate
The Raise the Roof hat day is an opportunity for us all to come together and draw attention to our urgent roof fundraiser.
Every hat is a show of support for women at MASH.
Together we can help get the MASH drop-in open again ASAP.
Let’s wear our hats and get us closer to the goal of fully funding the roof repairs.
More about our urgent Raise the Roof Appeal
Frustratingly, our main MASH drop in space is currently closed as the roof is leaking and damaged. We can only re-open once urgent repairs have been completed.
Please help us to get the MASH drop-in up and running again as soon as possible through our urgent Raise the Roof fundraiser.
Why is the roof repair so important?
The MASH drop-in is a safe, welcoming place, open every weekday, just for women who are sex working.
It’s a place for practical and emotional support, food and drinks, our welcoming clinic and to spend time together in community.
But it is so much more than that.
Here is what women say about the MASH drop in;
“I’ve been coming to MASH for ten years. You can take some time from the outside. I like the food and I can pop in to see the nurse whilst I’m here. The condoms are so important, too. When they do hair and beauty, this makes me feel better.”
“MASH is the only place I’ve ever felt safe to be. Physically and emotionally, I can be real at MASH. I can be honest about what’s going on whilst I’m at MASH. The support I’ve received has been mind blowing.”
But we urgently need to repair the roof and re-open this place that means so much and that women rely on.
This building has been our home for well over a decade, in the heart of the sex work beat. It is easily accessible for women who are working, and is set up for the needs of the women who access MASH.
In addition to the main communal drop-in space, we have a kitchen, clinic and counselling rooms.

We have explored every avenue when it comes to the future of the MASH drop in, and our best and only course of action is to get our current building repaired and running again.
We simply cannot achieve this without your help to Raise the Roof.
We believe that collectively we can raise the funds and celebrate the re-opening of our much beloved and needed MASH drop-in.
The MASH drop-in is so needed, and we especially can’t go another winter without the drop in being operational.
Following the repairs, we look forward to collaborating with women who come to MASH to create the refurbished space of dreams!
