Fundraising

We need your help fundraising to run vital services that help women work towards a safer, better future.

At MASH we are proud to stand with women who sex work so we can support them to be as safe, resilient and healthy as possible. With your generous support, we are able to reach hundreds of women across Greater Manchester.

Do something amazing!

There are lots of ways you can help to raise vital funds to keep women in Manchester safe. From donating money or essential items, to running or abseiling, baking or quizzing, we will be there with you every step of the way.

Take on a challenge for MASH

There is bound to be an event that will challenge you and ensure MASH is always here to give women a safe place to turn to.

If your event is being put on by a third party, all you need to do is sign up on the event organisers’ website then let Janelle know what you are doing to fundraise by emailing janelle@mash.org.uk

Support us at your celebration

If you’re celebrating a big milestone like a birthday, marriage or retirement, why not ask you loved ones to donate to MASH instead of gifts?

It’s quick and easy to set up a birthday fundraiser on Facebook or via a JustGiving page.

Leaving a gift to MASH in your will

Leaving a gift in your will is one of the most impactful things you can do to make a difference to women in Manchester who have nowhere else to turn.

For 30 years, MASH has been working towards a world which is safe and stigma-free for women who are sex working.

By leaving a gift in your will to MASH you can play a vital role in creating this world.

Gifts in wills are special gifts, entrusted to us by those who share our values and vision for the future.

No matter the size, your gift will be used to support women with safety, health and emotional wellbeing. Your gift will save lives in the years ahead.

“I chose to raise money for MASH for my birthday for a couple of reasons. The work they do serves some of the most marginalised women in Manchester, who often go ignored by society. At its most simple level MASH gives sex workers a place to go when it’s cold or raining, to get something to eat or a hot drink. But it also provides them with medical care, sexual health services, clean needle exchange, and people who can help them navigate dealing with the council for housing, childcare, and welfare issues.

“I’ve volunteered with MASH since 2016 now, and I’ve seen first-hand the excellent work that they do. They’re an incredibly important charity who work tirelessly to keep sex workers safe on the streets of Manchester, and they deserve all the support they get.”

We are MASH

For 30 years, MASH has stood by women who are sex working or thinking about it, offering non-judgemental support to improve health, safety and wellbeing.

We take MASH to women where they are at, offering support from our drop-in centre, our MASH van, in Manchester city centre, in saunas and via phone calls and home visits.

Women tell us that MASH helps them to feel safer, listened to, empowered and that in many cases it is a ‘lifeline’.
