About us

Hello, we are MASH

We stand with women who sex work and help you to experience good health, safety and emotional wellbeing.

We do this in several different ways, and most importantly, in a way which suits you.

MASH van, an adapted white camper van. MASH is written across the front in purple font. It is parked up under a bridge and you can see a woman in the driver's seat

We support women who are sex working;

In our welcoming and non-judgemental drop-in centre on Fairfield Street, Manchester city centre

Through our in-house clinic run by our fantastic nurse

By bringing MASH to you via our street outreach team and MASH van

Through one to one support from a friendly MASH case worker who can help you with lots of things such as

  • Setting up a bank account
  • Reporting a crime
  • Attending an appointment
  • Applying for a course
  • Filling in forms

A picture of a woman with long blonde hair smiling out of a vehicle window to someone who's blurred in the left hand of the shot

Through free workshops at our drop-in to feed your creative side

Through free practical items like condoms, lube and personal attack alarms

And much more besides – if you can think of it, we’ll do our very best to help you with it!

We are MASH

For 30 years, MASH has stood by women who are sex working or thinking about it, offering non-judgemental support to improve health, safety and wellbeing.

We take MASH to women where they are at, offering support from our drop-in centre, our MASH van, in Manchester city centre, in saunas and via phone calls and home visits.

Women tell us that MASH helps them to feel safer, listened to, empowered and that in many cases it is a ‘lifeline’.
