Have your donation to MASH doubled!

For one week only. Donate via MASH's Big Give between 8-15 October and your donation will be matched

September 30, 2025

One donation, double the impact graphic. Shows a picture of food and our LOVE bunting in the drop-in. And a photo of a smiling MASH worker in the MASH van handing a hot drink to someone out of shot

MASH has been selected for a special appeal called The Big Give.

This means that for just 7 days, any donations to MASH will be doubled! So you will be making double the impact.

To get the matched funding, donations must be made though our special Big Give link. It will go live at midday on Wednesday 8 October. Please check back on our website from that date to find the link.

Why donate during Big Give Week? 8-15 October?

The Big Give has become our most important appeal of the year at MASH.

If you’ve been thinking about donating to MASH, this week (8-15 Oct) is the best time to do it.

It’s an amazing time for you to show up for women in Manchester who are sex working. The women we meet and support are often in survival mode. At MASH we listen, we believe and we do everything on the women’s terms.

Women at MASH tell us;

“Without MASH I wouldn’t be here today, they have helped me a lot. I had nothing, I was sleeping on the road and they helped me find somewhere to live. I worked with the MASH Van first, they helped me find the accommodation”

“MASH know and remember me. They always remember the last thing I spoke about, even if it has been months and months. This means a lot to me and makes a difference to my feelings.”

“If I’m feeling down, in a bad place. I see the van and it’s like a light. It’s like being at sea and seeing a lighthouse. When you get on, you feel safe…I’d be lost without them.”

That’s why it’s so important that we can fund the crucial services that are key to MASH’s approach including

  • Our MASH drop-in centre
  • The MASH van which women can access late at night
  • Our team of case workers – caring, no judgement and working in a trauma-informed way

It’s during the Big Give week that we truly feel the collective community that stands behind MASH.

MASH is a charity and we rely on raising funds to run services which women call a ‘lifeline’.

You play a big role in making sure that can happen for as long as needed.

When you give, even if it’s what you consider to be a small amount it absolutely makes a difference.

Collectively, you all make a difference and enable MASH to continue in the ways that women tell us work.

Please do consider giving during our MASH Big Give Week.

Whatever you can afford will be doubled.

£2 becomes £4

£500 becomes £1000

Plus, if you’re eligible for Gift Aid, MASH gets another 25% of your donation on top as well! At no extra cost to you.

It feels great for you as the donor to see your impact doubled before your eyes and it certainly feels amazing for the women who we support at MASH to know that there are so many people out there who want to show up and help.

This year has been extremely challenging for MASH and for the women we support. We’ve had the unexpected stress of serious roof damage and having to fundraise and arrange for the repairs.

This was all money that we didn’t expect budget for but we are so grateful that funders and supporters showed up and that repairs are well underway.

It does mean the Big Give this year is even more important than ever. They have generously offered us more matched funding – so our goal is a total of £20,000.

Extra feel-good points if you donate and also share our link with your friends and connections who share your values and want to show up for women who are sex working. Please encourage them to donate too even if it’s just the price of a coffee or two.

The impact ripples out! In our last Big Give 126 awesome people donated and made sure we reached our target.

The Big Give is great for getting that momentum and for bringing our supporters together.

We are so grateful to the Big Give for offering their platform and the matched funding.

So now it’s up to us to make sure we unlock every single pound through your donations. So it all goes towards supporting women in Greater Manchester.

Thank you so much!

We are MASH

For 30 years, MASH has stood by women who are sex working or thinking about it, offering non-judgemental support to improve health, safety and wellbeing.

We take MASH to women where they are at, offering support from our drop-in centre, our MASH van, in Manchester city centre, in saunas and via phone calls and home visits.

Women tell us that MASH helps them to feel safer, listened to, empowered and that in many cases it is a ‘lifeline’.
