Our outreach van goes out every night except Saturdays. It is a chance for staff, volunteers and interpreters to meet women while they are working.
We offer them:
- Hot food/drink
- Condoms
- Needle exchange services
- ‘Dodgy Punter’ reports
- A space for some warmth
- Non-judgemental environment with general chit-chat
- Emotional support in moments of crisis
Lai is an example of one of our amazing outreach volunteers. She is such a kind, caring and compassionate volunteer on the van. She covered a shift not long ago due to a volunteers sickness. The staff member on shift, as well as the volunteer she covered for, were so grateful.
