The Drop-in Centre is a place for all women who sex work to be able to come and relax in a non-judgemental space. Whilst a lot of this occurs through getting some hot food and drink, activities and crafts are also a key part of this.
One person who really helps in keeping activities flowing in the Drop-in Centre is the amazing Jade.
Initially, Jade was a volunteer helping at the Drop-in with all the usual activities: Being welcoming to women entering, offering some general chit-chat, emotional support and more.
However, whilst doing this, we also saw how talented she was at doing nails for the women. She did this completely voluntarily, alongside her work in a beauty salon.
This has led to her becoming a sessional worker for us, doing the nails for the women at every Wednesday Drop-in session. The work she does for us is remarkable.
